Terms of Service
1. Agreement and eligibility
These Terms govern your use of the Poporio mobile application. By creating an account or using Poporio, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
You must be at least 13 years old and legally able to use the service in your country. If local law requires parental authorization, you must have it.
2. The service
Poporio lets users discover movies and television series, maintain watchlists, track episode progress, rate content, take quizzes and use social features such as posts, comments, friendships and direct messages. Features may change, be interrupted or be removed as the service evolves.
3. Accounts
- Provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure.
- You are responsible for activity performed through your account.
- Do not impersonate another person, misuse another account or evade an enforcement action.
- Notify support@poporio.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Community Standards
These rules apply to posts, comments, messages, profile information, images and any other user-generated content. You must not create, upload, send or promote content that:
- is illegal, sexually exploitative, or facilitates dangerous or criminal activity;
- threatens, harasses, bullies, stalks, hates or discriminates against a person or protected group;
- contains graphic violence, non-consensual intimate content or exploitation of minors;
- infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other rights;
- impersonates others, deceives users, spreads scams, spam or malicious links;
- attempts to manipulate quizzes, rankings, accounts or technical systems;
- reveals another person's private information without permission; or
- otherwise creates a material risk to users, Poporio or third parties.
Use spoiler controls where available and treat other users respectfully. You can report content or users and block users through the app. Poporio may review reports, restrict visibility, remove content, suspend accounts or terminate access when reasonably necessary to enforce these standards.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of content you create. You grant Poporio a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, moderate and improve the service. This license ends when the content is deleted, except for copies that must temporarily remain in protected backups or are required by law.
You confirm that you have the necessary rights to publish your content. Do not upload content merely because it is available online.
6. Acceptable use
You may not interfere with the service, bypass security or access controls, scrape the service without permission, distribute malware, exploit bugs, automate abusive activity, fraudulently obtain rewards, or use Poporio in violation of applicable law.
7. Advertising and quizzes
Poporio may display advertising through Google AdMob. Where required, advertising is subject to consent choices. Rewarded ads are optional and any in-app benefit has no cash value.
Quizzes and rankings are for entertainment. Scores, ratings and rewards carry no monetary value. Poporio may correct or remove results affected by abuse, automation or technical errors.
8. Third-party content and services
Poporio relies on services including Supabase, Google and TMDB. Availability and accuracy of third-party services are outside Poporio's full control. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Movie and television names, images and metadata may belong to their respective owners.
9. Intellectual property
The Poporio name, application design, software and original materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Except for rights expressly granted in these Terms, no rights are transferred to you.
10. Suspension, termination and deletion
You may stop using Poporio and delete your account at any time. Instructions are available on the account deletion page. Poporio may restrict or terminate access for serious or repeated violations, security threats, legal requirements or misuse of the service.
11. Disclaimers and liability
Poporio is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, complete accuracy of third-party metadata or permanent availability of any feature.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Poporio is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the service, providers or law. The current version and update date will remain available at this address. Material changes may also be communicated in the app where appropriate.
